We're going live October 18th, 2014!

Well, maybe not live, but our podcast will be up and running and  available on the iTunes store. We're working hard to bring you some compelling, out of this world stories for you to enjoy.

We are currently in the process of lining up guest for the first season of Planet Strange, each one with their own strange stories to share.

Mysterious Rings found in Nevada lake-bed

Planet Strange - The mystery of Death Valley's Moving rocks may be solved, but the Playa Ring mystery, is just getting started.

On a trip last December, Toronto's Mike Doran, make an unusual discovery in one of the dry lake-beds. Circular rings imbedded in the Bonnie Claire playa.

Breaking News: Police investigating UFO spotted over Breckenridge Colorado

SUMMIT COUNTY - Breckenridge Police say they are investigating reports of three "shiny" objects in the sky Friday morning.
"NORAD is not tracking any anomalies in that location. We are investigating," said Army Major Beth Smith, NORAD spokesperson.
Multiple people have called in to report the objects floating in the sky. The Summit County Sheriff's Office is also investigating.

Portsmouth UFO a hoax: Creator comes forward

Planet Strange - Last week, Planet Strange News reported on some photographs making the rounds on the internet.

The photos were of a supposed UFO hovering over the city of Portsmouth UK. We can now report,
that the photograph we posted was a fake.

The photos were part of a publicity stunt to draw attention to an upcoming science fiction and fantasy festival in the area.

Multiple  people were directed by the festival organizer Joshua Hibberd, 26, to take photographs around town at the same time. The pictures were then Photoshopped, and put online, causing a social media sensation.

Planet Strange --Vincent Smith, a Blantyre man, was astounded this morning, when he saw an unidentified object shoot across his television screen.

Smith, was tuning in on live coverage of the Hong Kong protests on the BBC, when an unusual "bright green light" descended across the screen, then shot upwards.

Scarborough England named "UFO capital of Britain"

Scarborough is now know as the "UFO Capital of Britain"

From Business Standard -- Scarborough, England, has decided to boost 'extraterrestrial tourism', after it was recently named "UFO capital of Britain" following multiple UFO sightings.

Tourism bosses hope that this unique type of tourism could help the city in the same way Loch Ness monster helped boost Scottish holiday trade, the Daily Express reported.

Fleas test positive for plague near Flagstaff Az.

Flagstaff Az. -  Officials in Conocino County Arizona are concerned after fleas were tested positive for Bubonic Plague.

Fleas in Arizona are turning up positive for Bubonic Plague

The virus was discovered after mass die-offs of prairie dogs in that area, prompting Coconino County Public Health Services to investigate.

The fleas were taken from prairie dog burrows being monitored in the area.

Officials are saying that the virus is transmittable to humans and pets, with symptom characteristics ranging from sudden onset of fever, to chills and body aches.

They also say the virus is curable with antibiotics, and people should seek medical attention immediately if they think they've come in contact with the infected.

Object Spotted in Skies of Portsmouth England on Friday

According to various sources, a UFO was spotted Friday hovering over the skies of Portsmouth. The MET, England's national weather service, has ruled out that the object seen in the photo below is a cloud.

 Various witnesses reported seeing the object moving "very fast", and did not look like an aircraft. Twitter immediately blew up with users using the hashtag #pompeyufo to describe the indecent.
